Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide personal secretarial support and co-ordination of all administrative duties for a busy practice.
- Regular contact with medical, nursing and administrative staff.
- To be responsible for all invoicing and expense management within the business.
- To continually review administrative processes within the practice to ensure maximum effectiveness.
- To be responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the duties undertaken in the practice; to include medical records, clinic bookings, customer liaison and ensure good communication with all other departments and consultants.
- To ensure appropriate staffing levels within the practice at all times.
- To promote and facilitate effective lines of communication through team briefing of own staff and maintaining good working relationships with other departments within the hospitals.
- To carry out regular team meetings and facilitate performance reviews for direct reports.
- Full secretarial support to a specific consultant.
- Prepare clinics, audio typing of clinic notes, referral letters etc.
Requirements
- Good background as a Medical Secretary in a private institution and have interpersonal and communication skills at all level.
- The post holder should be a qualified Medical Secretary with RSA grade III typing skills and knowledge of Word.
- Audio skills are essential and a good knowledge of book-keeping would be an advantage.
