Our client, a financial services company, is looking for a Receptionist to join their team. This role requires applicants to have had previous experience in a busy Front of House reception area. The successful applicant will be well presented, well spoken, polite and punctual. The reception team consists of two full-time Receptionists covering the hours of 8am-6pm.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing a first class front of house reception service.
- Meeting, greeting and assisting all visitors arriving at the office location in an efficient, pleasant and welcoming manner.
- Ensuring a professional image of the Company is portrayed at all times.
- First line telephony reception for incoming calls in a timely, confident and professional approach.
- Ensuring calls are transferred to the correct extension, presenting the caller to the recipient by name and/or appropriate message taken.
- Day to day supervision and work prior management for Reception staff.
- Focus on providing a quality reception/telephonist service to staff and clients at all times.
- Setting up and clearing meeting rooms, provision of refreshments and/or the organisation of lunches (breakfast meetings). Ensuring meeting rooms are kept clean and tidy and equipment is ready in advance for meetings.
- Resolving any room availability issues that may arise.
- At the beginning and end of each day, checking the boardroom/meeting room logs and ensuring that refreshments and sufficient chairs have been organised for the day.
Requirements
- A smart and presentable appearance is required at all times and receptionists should have a personable, polite and welcoming attitude at front desk.
- Good communication skills, confident, clear and articulate are essential to conduct business efficiently, and a pleasant and well developed telephone manner with an engaging and friendly nature is highly desirable.
- The successful candidate will have excellent accuracy and attention to detail, will remain calm and professional at all times and will be willing to go the extra mile to assist colleagues and peers when necessary.
