A job has arisen for a School Administrator within the Merthyr area to provide full office management and administrative support to the school. The school provides pupils with the right to learn in a dynamic atmosphere that challenges them to succeed and contribute successfully.

Job Description

The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional individual who will desirably have previous knowledge of working in an administrative role and use of the SIMS / CMIS office system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working on reception & filtering calls to the correct contact.
  • Assisting pupils, parents and visitors with any questions or queries.
  • Writing reports and dealing with correspondence.
  • Providing administration support to senior members of staff.
  • Data inputting & updating records ensuring that all records are accurate using the SIMS / CMIS School office system.
  • Liaising with outside agencies and other school departments.
  • Carrying out other administration such as filing, faxing, minute taking and dealing with postal duties.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have prior experience working in a secretarial / administration role particularly in an education setting. Good ICT skills are desirable combined with excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to work in a team or individually with an enthusiasm for working with a diverse mix of children in a schools environment is essential.
