We are currently recruiting for a French-speaking Bilingual Legal Secretary to work for a leading law firm in Central London. This secretarial job requires fluency in French as you will be the first point of contact for clients, French lawyers and third parties in France.
Job Description
You will be based in our Central London offices and will be required to draft e-mails and letters, liaise with French utility companies and banks etc. Correspondence will consist of telephone and email liaison in French as well as translation from French into English of e-mails and correspondence received from France.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out administrative and secretarial duties (audio and copy typing)
- Management of client accounts, billing.
- Co-ordination of recruitment, interviews and tests.
- Organise travel and seminar organisation, diary management.
- Introduction to fee earning (translation, standard correspondence).
- Organising meetings internally & externally.
- Organising conference calls.
- Maintain & update the firm's client database.
- Archiving and filing.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years City law firm experience as a Legal secretary, and preferably some litigation exposure. Fluent French is also required.
